What is Feng Shui?
Feng Shui represents Wind and Water and is the Chinese art focusing on life’s energy and a way of understanding how energy moves within our surroundings and how our buildings, their interiors, and our environment affect us. True Feng Shui is not based on religion or superstition but involves determining the energies that relate to a building so that positive energies can be enhanced and negative ones can be diminished. By applying Feng Shui to your surroundings it can help to obtain a balance of happiness and success in all areas of your life. There are are number of different schools of Feng Shui, namely
FORM SCHOOL Form School analyses the land on the outside of a building, its contours such as mountains and the placement of water. In addition to the outside influence; the inside of the house must also be considered, focusing significantly on the placement of furniture. COMPASS SCHOOL Compass School incorporates the 'Bagua', a unique pattern that is made up of eight trigrams. It is used to ascertain the type of Qi (energy) that comes with the different compass directions. Energy from the Sun is the main stimulus however; it also derives energy from the universal influences and the magnetic energy radiating from the earth. FLYING STAR Flying Star school is the traditional Chinese Feng Shui and is based on numerology which is the ‘language’ of the universe. It is also considered superior to the other schools due to the fact it takes into account the influence of time on a building. Flying Star the most complex, accurate and powerful form of Feng Shui. Conducting an analysis with Annual Flying Stars only is not good enough and can actually cause more harm than good.
