How to choose a Feng Shui Consultant
Choosing a Feng Shui Consultant can be difficult at the best of times. It is a large subject, taught at many levels. As the boundaries between Feng Shui and related disciplines can be blurred, it is easy to get confused.
The Association of Feng Shui Consultants has been developed to inform and educate the public so they have a better understanding of Feng Shui. AFSC also provides a list of consultants who have taken the time and energy to undertake training at varying levels and have also signed the Association's Code of Ethics, making it a little easier for the public to make an informed choice when choosing a consultant.
Whilst AFSC has confirmed the training of the consultants, all Feng Shui Training Institutions give out varying levels of qualifications and have these thoroughly explained on their own websites. There is no such thing as an industry standard, as each Training Institution has their own individual standards for the students to reach.
We urge you to ask questions including their experience, requesting testimonals, etc.
It must be noted that a consultant cannot make guarantees that you will be rich and famous or that you will be cured from your illnesses. For some of us this isn't our path or destiny. Consultants can only make recommendations that will enhance the positive energies and help to neutralise the negative influences using Traditional Feng Shui principles.
AFSC is looking into an accreditation process but at this time is still in the research phase. AFSC has listed questions for you to ask a consultant prior to booking a consultation. Please refer to the Questions to ask a Feng Shui Consultant page.
